Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers walked down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another message on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of supporters had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known stage show Wicked, which centers on the surprising bond between two distinct characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and received ten Oscar nominations, winning a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
