The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage depict countless of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
