A catastrophic detonation at a law enforcement facility in Indian-administered Kashmir has led to the deaths of nine individuals and harm to thirty-two additional people, according to official statements.

The blast occurred on Friday evening at the Nowgam police station, where detonation agents confiscated in the Faridabad area in the northern province of Haryana were being kept briefly.
Area law enforcement head declared that the explosives were awaiting forensic examination when a "extremely tragic" incident during handling led to their blast at approximately 23:20 in the evening.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that this was an "unintentional explosion" and not a militant action. "Alternative theories regarding the reason of this event is unnecessary," stressed the law enforcement head during a media conference.
The police station experienced extensive destruction from the explosion, with adjacent buildings also being affected by the powerful blast.
Aftermath and Victims
Multiple vehicles were "consumed by fire and transformed into ashen remains, with debris scattered across the site," according to official reports.
"The power of the detonation was so extreme that some physical fragments were found in adjacent homes, approximately 100-200 metres away the law enforcement facility," stated an official source.
The majority of the fatalities were security officials, along with technical investigation team, two evidence documentation specialists, and a garment worker who was with the team.

The territory's Regional Leader conveyed commiserations and confirmed that an probe had been ordered into the catastrophic occurrence.
